I'm so thrilled you read it, and loved it. It's wonderful isn't it? And the epilogue... OMG. I had no idea they'd committed suicide, together. It's tragic and beautiful all at once. Now you know why I wept!

I know! It's so sad, but beautiful at the same time. I was kind of spoiled before reading it because I made a very bad choice and read the back of the book where the stupid people of the publishing house said they had committed suicide together. Fortunately that didn't prevent me from enjoying it.

Oh no! I hate that. I was once spoiled for the ending of a book by the forward! I was livid. It's one of my favourite books too and I loved it; I really feel robbed of that moment at the end. :(

But I'm glad it didn't ruin your enjoyment of the book. tbh, it doesn't actually feature in the book, it's just a heartbreaking addendum to what happens to these darling couple.

Have you read How the Light Gets In by M J Hyland? It's a bit 'edgy' but if you like Douglas Coupland, you should love it.
